My next summer knit project is again from Novita Summer extra 2020 magazine. The pattern is now available online for free though! You can find it here.

This was such a quick and fun knit. I made minor changes to the pattern again. I cast on the second smallest size and during the ribbing I decreased to the smallest size. This way I got some more space around the hip area. I also added some length to the top as I wanted the ribbing to end roughly at my waist rather than higher. I used Novita Siro yarn with 3.00 mm needles all throughout the work. There are more photos on my Ravelry project page.

I love this top! The top is also versatile, because I think with a cardigan and high-waisted skirt I can wear this one all year round. I have this same yarn in green and I am definitely planning to make another top identical to this one in green!

Tämä toppi oli ihanan helppo ja nopea neule. Tein joitain pieniä muutoksia ohjeeseen. Aloitin topin toisiksi pienimmän koon silmukkamäärillä, jotka sitten kaventelin pois pieninmpään kokoon joustinneuleen aikana. Täten sain enemmän tilaa lantiolle. Tein topista myös hieman ohjetta pidemmän, koska halusin joustinneuleen loppuvan suunnilleen vyötärölle enkä sen yläpuolelle. Käytin ohjeen mukaisesti Novitan Siro -lankaa ja 3.00 mm puikkoja koko työn ajan. Topista on lisää kuvia Ravelryn projektisivullani.

Rakastan tätä toppia. Vaikka toppi onkin hyvin kesäinen neule, uskon käyttäväni tätä myös talvikausina neuletakin ja korkeavyötäröisen hameen kaverina. Minulla on tätä samaa lankaa vihreänä ja aion tehdä itselleni toisen samanlaisen topin vihreänä myös!

Pitsineuletakki / Lace cardigan

Ja seuraava neuletakki uunista ulos! Äitini ihastui harmaaseen pitsineuletakkiini ja toivoi syntymäpäivälahjaksi itselleen samantyyppistä. Väriksi valikoitui kaunis koralli ja neuletakin suunnittelin itse, koska en löytänyt mieleistä ohjetta. Neuletakki on hyvin samantyylinen omani kanssa, joskin pitsikuvio on tässä eri ja myös pääntie hieman erimuotoinen.

Käytin Hjertegarnin Merino Cotton lankaa. Lanka oli helposti neulottavaa ja se tuo kauniisti pinnan kuvioinnin esiin. Projektin yksityiskohdat löytyvät Ravelrystani.

My next cardigan is finished! My mom fell in love with my grey lace cardigan and for her birthday, she wished for something similar. We chose coral yarn and I designed the cardigan myself, because I couldn't find a pattern which I liked enough. The style of this cardigan is rather similar to mine, however the lace pattern and neckline are different here.

I used Hjertegarn Merino Cotton yarn. It was easy to knit and it beautifully accentuates the details of the lace pattern. You can find more details about this project in my Ravelry.

Pitsineuletakki / Lace cardigan

Viime vuoden loppupuolella löysin Ravelrystä ihastuttavan pitsineuletakin ohjeen (täältä). Käytän mekkoja ja hameita ympäri vuoden, mutta erityisesti viileämpinä kesäpäivinä välillä kaipaa mekon päälle vähän lämmikettä.

En käyttänyt ohjeessa olevaa lankaa, vaan tilasin Lankamaailmasta Viking of Norwayn Bambino lankaa (50% bambua, 50% puuvillaa). Muokkasin ohjeen langalle sopivaksi ja tein koko työn yhtenä kappaleena kainaloihin asti. Loppujen lopuksi alkuperäisestä ohjeesta oli siis jäljellä lähinnä idea ja pitsikuvio! In end of last year, I found an incredibly beautiful lace cardigan pattern in Ravelry (here). In general, I wear skirts and dresses all year round, but especially on those slightly colder summer days, I often miss having something warm on my shoulders.

I didn't have the yarn in the pattern, but I ordered Viking of Norway Bambino yarn (50% bamboo, 50% cotton) online. I adjusted the pattern to my yarn and I made the garment in one piece until the armpits. Eventually, I pretty much only used the idea and lace pattern from the original instructions.
